Please be reminded about a wonderful opportunity to support your education and service your community through the Patient Care Foundation (PCF) Scholarship Program.

The PCF aims to alleviate the financial burden for medical students who are raised in Los Angeles County, with the goal of encouraging them to return to their communities after completing their residency. Over the years, PCF has awarded more than $100,000 to deserving candidates, with scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Through collaboration with the Los Angeles County Association, PCF also offers mentorship to create a new generation of community-based physicians, providing much-needed high-quality healthcare in underserved areas.

To be eligible for the Patient Care Foundation Scholarship Award, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must have been raised in a medically-underserved area, as designated by the US HRSA.
  • You must be currently enrolled in and attending an accredited medical school in the United States

As part of the scholarship commitment, awardees are required to provide an annual update to the Patient Care Foundation, keeping them informed of their progress in medical school.

The scholarship application deadline is approaching soon - September 29, 2023.
